Four members of the Pisgah High School Leo Club — which is sponsored by the Lions Club — recently served as delegates to the State Leo Club Convention in Sherills Ford. They spent the weekend at Camp Dogwood, a summer camp for the blind and visually impaired.

Delegates from Piedmont High School, Union Pines High School and Concord Middle School discussed service opportunities; learned about different organizations that can aid their service endeavors; took part in a Rise Against Hunger food-packaging event; and worked together to prepare Camp Dogwood to celebrate its 50th anniversary.

Officer elections were held to select the 2016-17 officers.  Sydney Smith and Breanna Metcalf, of Pisgah High School, were elected president and treasurer, respectively. They were inducted on March 4 by Lions Club past international director Harvey Whitley.
