There's something called "puppy therapy," and it's complimentary with any stop by Sarge's Animal Rescue any Saturday. Currently, the no-kill nonprofit has two litters of puppies to visit, in addition to plenty of older dogs and cats. One group of pups is a Plott hound mix, while the other seems to be a beagle/blue heeler mix. They are all, needless to say, adorable. For more information, call 246-9050 or visit the center, at 226 Industrial Park Dr., in Waynesville, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Saturday.

Love the puppy pics! Thanks for letting the community see these adorable furry friends. We adopted a Sarge's cat last year, and it was, and is, a great experience.

I have adopted two Sarge's adult dogs and it has been a very good experience for me and my wonderful dogs.  Please consider Sarges if you are looking for a dog.  They have wonderful dogs that will be wonderful additions to your family.

Our family adopted an adult dog three years ago from Sarge's after losing our beloved dog of almost 15 years.  Rosa at Sarge's told us Nigel would be the perfect dog for us, and she was right!  He is mostly Australian Cattle Dog and "something," but mostly just full of love.
