Police and fire fighters join million coin campaign
As fall approaches, getting ready for cooler weather is not far from everyone's minds, especially those who are not sure how they will stay warm this winter.
Patsy Dowling, executive director of Mountain Projects, Inc. said calls are already flooding in from people asking for assistance with heating their homes.
“I hear the phone ring nonstop, especially from elderly folks who tend to get cold quicker than younger people,” Dowling said.
That’s why the Cash Conquers Cold: The Million Coin Campaign launched earlier this year is so important. Money collected in the campaign will go to three different organizations with one common goal: keeping people warm this winter.
