The Haywood County Fairgrounds Board will host a Poor Man’s Dinner starting at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 25, in the Apple Orchard Buiding, 758 Crabtree Road, Waynesville.

Dinner will be served from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and will include pinto beans, macaroni and cheese, cornbread, drinks and homemade desserts. Live entertainment will be provided by The Asheville Strummers, Off Season Acapella and the Sylva Dulcimer Players.

Bingo will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets may be purchased for either dinner or Bingo or for both. In the event of bad weather, the fundraiser will take place April 15.

All tickets will be sold at the door.  Dinner cost $8 per adult and $4 per children. Bingo cards cost $10 a set and include 15 individual games with door prizes throughout. Additional card sets may be purchased for $10.  Cash prizes will be awarded.

The board is also hosting a 50/50 raffle. Tickets cost $1 each or $5 for seven tickets. The 50/50 will be drawn before the last Bingo game, which is a coverall game. Players must be present to win.

All funds raised will support the fairgrounds to offset the cost of nonprofit organizations that use the facility for banquets, competitions, animal and livestock events, and fairgrounds-sponsored events for the public throughout the year.
