Haywood Community College will hold a Grand Opening of the new Professional Arts and Crafts/Instructional Facility from 11 a.m. to  7 p.m. Friday, March 1. In addition, the event will recognize the 50^th anniversary of the North Carolina Community College System.

The celebration will kick off in the HCC Auditorium at 11 a.m. and will continue in the Professional Arts and Crafts/Instructional Facility at 12:15 p.m. with a ribbon cutting and the dedication of the Mary Cornwell Gallery.

Throughout the day, there will be demonstrations and hands-on activities in the studios. In addition, there will be an Alumni Craft Showcase Exhibit featuring the work of four decades of graduates from the professional crafts programs of clay, fiber, jewelry, and wood, as well as continuing education alumni. ...
