Purchase tickets now for barbecue dinner
A prayer rally will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28 to bring attention to the issue of drug abuse in Haywood County.
Participants will meet for a prayer walk at First Baptist Church in Waynesville.
Following the rally will be a barbecue dinner at Long's Chapel United Methodist Church. Tickets for the dinner will be on sale until 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20 and can be purchased at the Long's Chapel office. Tickets cost $8 per person, children 6 and under are free. Few tickets will be available for purchase at the door.
There will be entertainment by Tim Own and the Pinnacle Church Spirit Band, MaKayla Reece, the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church a Cappella Spiritual Choir and James Markey accompanied by Geneal Bates on keyboard.
