Rabies vaccination clinics start Oct. 10

A series of rabies vaccination clinics will be held next week.

State law requires that all dogs and cats 4-months or older must be vaccinated against rabies. To be in compliance with North Carolina General Statute 130A-185, the rabies vaccination must be administered by a licensed veterinarian or a supervised and licensed veterinary technician.

Clinic dates and locations:

— Monday, Oct. 10: Canton Middle School bus parking lot, Waynesville Middle School and Fines Creek Community Center

— Tuesday, Oct. 11: Riverbend Elementary School

— Wednesday, Oct. 12: Bethel Elementary School

— Thursday, Oct. 13: Jonathan Valley Elementary School

— Friday, Oct. 14: Clyde Elementary School

Clinics will be held each day from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. For more information call Animal Services at 456-5338.
