CANTON —Ralph C. Stiles, 74, of 90 Stiles Road, died Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at MedWest-Haywood.

A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was a son of the late Carl and Maggie Chapman Stiles.  He retired from Champion International with 40 years of service. Ralph was a very active member of Plains United Methodist Church and was a member of Mountain Top Emmaus and Chrysalis communities. He was a founding member with the North Canton Volunteer Fire Department.  Ralph’s interests included a love for the outdoors and he was truly a “Man of God.”  He served as a father figure to many.
