MAGGIE VALLEY —  Ralph Wallace, 80, of Riverside Villa, passed away Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at The Homestead.

A native of LaFollette, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Adrian and Nell Ivy Wallace.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Grey Walker Wallace, who died this year; one daughter, Debra Lynn Riche; and a son, Steven Ralph Wallace.  He was a former mayor of Maggie Valley as well as former owner of Wards Superette and Ralph’s Grocery and most recently was working in sales with Mountain Sweets Candy Company.  He was an avid supporter and fan of the University of Tennessee and a member of Maple Grove United Methodist Church.
