CLYDE — Paul Randy Clayton, 50, passed away Saturday, Nov. 30, at MedWest-Haywood.
A native of Henderson County, he was the son of Minnie West Clayton of Waynesville and the late Ray Clayton. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Norman E. “Booger” Clayton. He was employed with Department of Social Services, where he worked in Maintenance. Randy enjoyed the outdoors and loved hunting and fishing throughout Western North Carolina. He also loved traveling and spending time with his fiancée, Angie.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his fiancée, Angie Ledford; two daughters, Tiffany Clayton of Fayetteville, and Amber Clayton of Hendersonville; three step-daughters, Diana Watson of Bethel, and Melissa and Emily Ledford both of Clyde; a step-son, Anthony Ledford of Clyde; a sister, Norma Wright of Richmond, Virginia; a half-brother, Morris Ray Clayton, of Etowah; and three grandchildren, Vinny Denomme, Braidon Lopez and Michael Perez.
Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Rev. Neal Roland officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
