Farewell to MedWest colleagues
To the editor:
On Tuesday, the Oct. 9, I was asked to meet with my boss at MedWest-Haywood in the boardroom. I couldn’t imagine what the meeting was about. But it soon became evident. Like many of you it seemed a door had been closed that day in my face. My prayer now is that God will show us our windows of opportunity. I am also praying that God would be with those of you remaining at MedWest.
The next day I felt I was prepared to clean out my locker, but I was nearly in tears several times as I answered questions to those with me in but a hoarse whisper. It’s amazing how much junk we can accumulate in six years. It’s also amazing how many friends I made in the nine years I worked at the hospital.
As I leave I bear no resentment. My only concern is this: ...
