MARION/CLYDE — Retired Sergeant Fred D. Almond, of the North Carolina Highway Patrol, 85, a resident of Marion, and a former resident of Clyde, passed into the arms of his Lord and Saviour Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012, at the John F. Keever Solace Center.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6, in the chapel of Crawford / Ray Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service. Entombment will be in The Horizon at Crawford / Ray Memorial Gardens in Clyde.
