WAYNESVILLE — Roger Clyde Chambers, 59, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at his residence.

A native of Haywood County, he was a son of the late Johnny Chambers and the late Joann Rogers Ledbetter.  Roger was a 1972 graduate of Pisgah High School and the owner and operator of Ground Control, Inc.

He is survived by his father, Roy Ledbetter, of Waynesville; three sisters, Debbie Sorrells, and her husband, Danny, and Anita Inman, and her husband, Verlin “Peanut,” all of Waynesville, and Janet Howell and her husband, Stephen, of Canton; one brother, Bruce Chambers, and his wife, Becky, of Waynesville; Alexis and Aubrey Sherrill, of Waynesville, were like granddaughters and held a special bond with him; and several nieces and nephews.
