Ronald E. Hall
GREER, SOUTH CAROLINA — Ronald Erwin Hall, 79, died March 24, 2014, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
A native of Atlanta, Georgia, then moved to Clyde at an early age, he was a son of the late John Oscar and Margaret Haynes Hall.
Mr. Hall was a retired operations manager for ABF Freight Lines and a charter member of Edwards Road Baptist Church, where he was active in all phases of the church. He was a lover of all things outdoors such as backpacking, camping and fly-fishing in the mountains. He and Nina have traveled to all 50 states and many foreign countries. Mr. Hall was kind, caring and always willing to help others.
Surviving are his loving wife of 60 years, Nina Medford Hall, of the home; a son, John Lane Hall, M.D. and his husband, Richard Anderson, of Pacifica, California; a daughter, Rhonda H. Cartee, of the home; a niece, Susan Gregory, of Waynesville; and his loving dog, Carley.
Mr. Hall was predeceased by one son, Duane Coleman Hall, and a brother, Duane Alan Hall.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, March 27, at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by the Rev. Neil Cochran. Burial will be at 1 p.m. in Bonaventure Cemetery, Clyde
Visitation will be held 10 to 10:45 a.m. at The Wood Mortuary.
The family is at the home.
