1932–2012

WAYNESVILLE — Roscoe Curtis Wells was born June 12, 1932, to William Newman Wells and Kitty Elnora Beggs in Collbran, Colorado. He passed away peacefully at home in Waynesville with his family around him on Sept. 28, 2012.  He continued to live in western Colorado, graduating from Mesa College in Grand Junction. He attended the University of Colorado in Boulder, majoring in chemical engineering. He served in the U.S. army during the Korean War.  He finished his education with a degree in chemical engineering from South Dakota School of Mines in Rapid City. He went to work for General Electric at the Hanford Atomic Energy Project in eastern Washington state.  He studied computer systems analysis and design.
