WAYNESVILLE — Ruby Elizabeth Webb, 82, of Waynesville, passed away Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014, at the Homestead Hospice Center.
Ruby was born Oct. 21, 1931, to the late Mollie Medford and Dock Nations. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Waitsel Webb, who died in 1995; a brother, Tommy Nations; a daughter, Earline Lance; a granddaughter, Pam Lewis; and a grandson, Stanley Bailey.
She is survived by daughters, Barbara Bradley and husband, Gene, of Waynesville, Maxine Southers, of Waynesville, and Jane Crocker, of Chesapeake, Virginia; 11 grandchildren, Tammy Crowe and husband, Mark, Jennifer Lance, Gene Allen Bradley and wife, Terry, Ronald “Ralo” McFalls, Kristen “Cricket” Brooks and husband, Red, Joni Moreno, Ronica Jackson and husband, Kenneth, Devon Moody and husband, Brian, Angie Hallman, Vivian Bailey and Wade Bailey and wife, Melanie; and 26 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, at Sulphur Springs Freewill Baptist Church, located at 1273 Sulphur Springs Road, Waynesville, with the Rev. Phillip Wyatt officiating. A reception and celebration of life will follow the service in the reception hall. A private family interment will be at Greenhill Cemetery in Waynesville at a later date. A viewing and receiving of friends was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, at Crawford/Ray Funeral Home, located at 1 N. Main St., Canton.
