CLAYTON, LOUISIANA — Funeral services for Ruth “Granny" Ensley, 96, of Clayton, Louisiana, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at Clayton Baptist Church, with the Rev. Leslie Wooten officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Natchez, Mississippi, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.
Granny Ensley was born Oct. 20, 1916, in Cullowhee, and passed away Monday, Nov. 26, 2012 at Clayton. She was a resident of Clayton, a sorter for Champion Paper and a member of Clayton Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death her husband, Garland E. Ensley; father, William Amberson Deitz; mother, Melvina Stiles Deitz; son, John Eugene Ensley; daughter, Barbara Jean Ensley; brothers, Wilburn Deitz and Roy Deitz; five sisters, Delphia Potts, Ethel Deitz, Louetta Deitz, Victoria Deitz and Lena Frizzell.
Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Denny, and her husband, William, of Clayton, Louisiana; son, George Ensley and Dianne Dotson, of Mountain City, Georgia; four grandsons, David Parris, John Parris, Ricky Ensley and Billy Tyler ; three granddaughters, Dorothy Denny, Billie Jo Seals and Sarah Service; 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Lamar Ashley, Michael Seals, Darrell Cirilo, Curtis Cirilo, Byron Cirilo and Richard Wilkerson. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Huey Moak, Dylan Seals and Anthony Cirilo.
