HARTWELL, GEORGIA — Mrs. Ruth Evalena Moody Long, 89, of 681 Bowen Road, Hartwell, died peacefully Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012 at her home.

Born on Aug. 2, 1923, in Johnson City, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late William C. Moody Sr. and Grace Camoleon Allison Moody.  She was retired from the Forsyth County Probate Court where she worked as the office manager and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cumming.  Mrs. Long was also a member of the Athens Rock and Gem Society in Athens, Georgia, and a member of AARP.

Survivors include one daughter, Donna Ruth Long, of Hartwell; one brother, W.C. Moody Jr., of Edgefield, South Carolina; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren also survive.  Mrs. Long was preceded in death by her ...
