Ruth Rathbone Bradley Lynch

CANTON — Mrs. Ruth Rathbone Bradley Lynch, 83, of Canton, passed away at Silver Bluff Nursing and Rehab Saturday, June 8, 2013. She was born in Haywood County to the late Hugh John and Edna Messer Rathbone. She retired from the Shipyard as a key punch operator for the payroll department in Newport News, Virginia. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church and was active in several ministries, including the nursing home and visitation ministries. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ronnie Bradley; brothers, JB, Jimmy, and Howell Rathbone; an infant sister, Eva, and sisters, Geraldine and Doris Ann.
Survivors include her husband William “Bill” Lynch. of Canton; daughter Kathy B. Brown, and her husband, David, of Yorktown, Virginia; sons David Lynch, and his wife, Susan, of Jacksonville, John O. Lynch, and his wife, Linda, of Palestine, Texas,and Barry Lynch, and his wife, Marilyn, of Kansas City, Missouri; sister, Edith Russell, of Clyde; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m.Tuesday, June 11, in the chapel of Garrett Funeral Home. The Revs. Ronald Greene and Rev. Barry Clark will officiate. Burial will follow at Panther Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until the hour of the funeral at the funeral home.
