WAYNESVILLE — Ruth Snyder Jones, 94, passed away Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at Smoky Mountain Health and Rehabilitation Center.

A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Wiley and Hazel Snyder.  She was also preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Swann and a nephew, Roger Norris.  She was a member of Louisa Chapel United Methodist Church.  Ruth enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

She is survived by a sister, Frances Swanger, of Clyde and a niece, Verba K. Norris, of Clyde.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m.  Sunday, Feb. 24, at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Rev. James Armstrong officiating.  Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Clyde.  The family will receive friends from 2 to 3  p.m. ...
