Rux Gardens, 2930 Old Balsam Road, in Waynesville, will host its annual Visiting Vendors Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday July 14.
"Bringing in vendors from other areas gives our customers an exciting opportunity to purchase plants that may not be available locally," said Kristi Mynatt, manager at Rux. Visiting this year will be Flo and Joe Chaffin of Specialty Ornamentals, and The Asheville Daylily Society.
Specialty Ornamentals specializes in growing a wide range of conifers, Japanese maples, and rare and unusual plants. The Asheville Daylily Society will be offering bare root fans of daylilies, at reasonable prices, as a fundraiser for the National Daylily Convention to be held in Asheville in 2014.
