Salata to preach at Lenten services March 27

Photo by: Donated LENTEN SERVICES — The Rev. Rennie Salata will preach at the Canton Community Lenten services March 27.

The Rev. Rennie Salata, pastor of Long's Chapel and Cruso United Methodist Church, will preach at the Canton Community Lenten Service, to be held at noon Thursday, March 27, at the First United Methodist Church of Canton. An offering will be taken on behalf of the Canton Community Kitchen. The 30-minute service will be followed by a lunch in the church's fellowship hall.

The Rev. Salata earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Maryville College and a Masters of Divinity from Duke Divinity School. He lives in Brevard where his wife, Lauren, is a Methodist minister and pastor of a church. They enjoy reading, hiking mountain trails, visiting waterfalls and watching Duke basketball.

All are invited to these services.

It is not Long's Chapel, but Long's UMC.  Long's is in the Center Pigeon area and is on a charge with Cruso.
