Sarge's Animal Rescue Foundation is celebrating the 4th of July by holding a special adoption event that day. A select group of dogs — those who have been with Sarge's more than 30 days — will be available for “Name Your Own Adoption Fee,” as well as all cats more than 6 months of age.

Adopters get to set the fee to adopt a fully vetted, spayed or neutered pet from Sarge's.  Between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, July 4, Sarge’s volunteers will be giving visitors to the adoption center a warm welcome and some watermelon to say happy Independence Day. The adoption center is at 256 Industrial Park Dr., Waynesville.
