Sarge’s Animal Rescue Foundation hit another big milestone Nov. 16 at the PetSmart three day Adopt-A-Thon. For the first time in Sarge’s history, 400 dogs (and counting) have been adopted out in a single year. Last year, Sarge’s adopted out 394 dogs the entire year.

“Thank you to all of the foster homes who care for the animals and cart them around from adoption event to adoption event," said Sarge’s adoption coordinator Michael Ritter. “And thanks to all who help support the events and provide forever homes for the animals.”

To adopt a forever friend, visit Sarge’s Adoption Center, located at 256 Industrial Park Drive in Waynesville, or the Sarge’s cat condos at the Waynesville PetSmart.

“And, don’t forget the ‘Back in Black' special promotion during the month of November,” said Sarge’s board president, Gary Smith. “'Back in Black' is helping find permanent, loving homes for black cats and dogs. A variety of beautiful black and mostly black pets will be showcased throughout November, and each comes with a great goodie bag of pet-related items.”
