Beginning Sunday, December 2nd, and continuing until 4:00pm on December 24th, Sarge’s Animal Rescue Foundation volunteers will be wrapping holiday gifts at Mast General Store in downtown Wayneville.

“We are so happy that Mast has invited Sarge’s to use the Main Street entrance space in the store to wrap gifts again this year,” said Tish O’Connor, coordinator.  “It’s a service we’re delighted to provide for free.  However, we always welcome donations. We meet so many nice people while wrapping their gifts.  Some are long time supporters of Sarge’s and others are receptive to hearing about Sarge’s mission to save dogs and cats from the Haywood County animal shelter.”

Added O’Connor, “If you like to wrap gifts and would like to join our volunteers this season, please sign up at our website

If for some reason you are unable to do this on line, call me at 828-400-5713.  You can help to save an innocent life this holiday season by volunteering a few hours of your time.”

Donations of tissue paper, ribbons, bows or wrapping paper are welcome. They may be taken to the adoption center at 256 Industrial Park Drive, near Lowe’s and Junaluska Animal Hospital or dropped off at Mast after December 2nd.
