The community is invited to join friends of Sarge’s Animal Rescue Foundation at a benefit "One Mile Fun Run & Dog Walk" Saturday April 13, at Lake Junaluska. Registration is $5 and all proceeds directly benefit Sarge's Animal Rescue Foundation.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the walk/run starts at 10 a.m. The event will start at the Bethea Welcome Center parking area at 91 N. Lakeshore Dr., Lake Junaluska.  Register online in advance at  http://thefundraiser.wufoo.com/forms/z7x3p3/. Day of event registration is also welcome.

Stroll with family and friends or compete for first place. First place takes home a Sarge's T-shirt. Bring friendly, furry friends on a leash to enjoy the event. Festivities include a bake sale and photo booth.
Participants may pay the registration fee to walk/run or seek additional donations and/or sponsors to raise even more for Sarge’s.  To fundraise online, a CrowdRise fundraiser has been created — join the team at  www.crowdrise.com/sargesonemilefunrundogwalk.  The event is on Facebook where participants may RSVP and share with friends — http://on.fb.me/14vPNuB.  For more information, call 734-1307 or 508-2997.
Sarge’s Animal Rescue Foundation’s mission is to save animals from euthanasia in the Haywood County Animal Control facility (HCAC).
