Save the date — Health & Fitness Expo is April 22
CLYDE — The Mountaineer and Haywood Regional Medical Center are teaming up to provide a Health and Fitness Expo from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday April 22, at Haywood Regional Health and Fitness Center, 75 Leroy George Drive, Clyde.
“We really hope the community joins us at this comprehensive wellness event. It’s also a great opportunity to grow your business if you’re a vendor to network with the community,” said Rod Harkleroad, chief executive officer, Haywood Regional Medical Center.
The expo will include over 40 vendors. Haywood Regional Medical Center is offering free health screenings such as BMI, blood pressure, cholesterol, wound care diabetic foot checks, hands-only CPR training, a healthy cooking demo and mini massages.
Representatives will be available from the physician practices.
Haywood Regional Health and Fitness Center will also have 30 minute fitness classes and demonstrations throughout the entire event duration for guests and members to participate in.

12 to 12:30 p.m. Zumba Beginners
1 to 1:30 p.m. Barre Above
1:30 to 2 p.m. Yoga Beginners
2:15 to 2:45 p.m. Yoga Intermediate
2:40 to 2:50 p.m. DRUM FIT mini demo
3 to 3:30 p.m. Restorative Yoga
3 to 3:30p.m. DRUM FIT
3:45 to 4:15 p.m. PIYO
Fitness programming for all ages and fitness levels include aqua, balance, boot camp, strength training, interval, yoga, PiYo, tai chi, spin, Les Mills BodyPump, Les Mills BodyStep, step, Zumba and more.
Come by the expo to see the demonstrations, learn more about the many fitness classes available, and also the programs and services available to you.
Other community vendors include Haywood County Health and Human Services, Blue Mountain Chiropractic, Junaluska Animal Hospital, Cogburn, Van Praag, Teague and Franklin Dentistry, Kim’s Pharmacy, Michael D. Gillespie D.D.S., and more.
Services and representatives for insurance, pet health, Medicaid and small businesses will also be present.
