Jan 09, 2013

The next “Live and Learn” program will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17,  at the Lake Junaluska Bethea Welcome Center, 91 N. Lake Shore Dr., Lake Junaluska.  The Junaluskan Live and Learn committee will host Douglas Gregory, fitness coordinator at MedWest Health & Fitness Center, and staff members certified in the areas of fitness training and instruction of Tai Chi, Yoga, and water aerobics speaking about exercise that benefits the senior population.  In addition, Dr. Kate Queen will address the issue of osteoporosis.

Exercise is a vital component of healthy living, and it is never too late to begin a program to improve one's physical state.  Senior citizens who desire more information about appropriate exercise opportunities will not want to miss this opportunity to get on track about physical fitness or to learn about recourse for dealing with physical limitations.
