A “Senior Safety Day” will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at the new Fire Department in Waynesville, during Fire Prevention Month.  Three years ago the Waynesville Senior Leadership team put on this program at the fire station, with more than 350 people attending.

Fran Blankenship, Senior Leadership leader for the Waynesville team from the Senior Resource Center, is heading up planning for the event.

The event planners are seeking interested organizations for booths, volunteers  and donations of items. Those who can help are asked to call Blakenship at 452-2992 or email blankenship.fran @yahoo.com.
