Members of several Senior Resource Teams have volunteered their time to place containers around the county for the Million Dollar Coin Campaign.   When the containers are filled with coins, the team members collect them and deliver them to the Waynesville Police Department, where the coins are deposited into a box crafted to hold the weight of a million coins.

When Marian Badgley, of the Maggie Valley/Jonathan Creek Team, recently delivered a bucket of coins picked up from Joey’s Pancake House, the large container at the Police Department was looking “much fuller than last time a deposit was made by the teams.”
