Facts were wrong
To the editor:
Yet another letter written by an uninformed person spouted false “facts” and name calling. In the Sept. 12 editorial the letter writer seems to get his/her misinformation from Fox News or the inflammatory e-mails put out from what appear to be right-wing propaganda machines.
The writer equates the ACLU and ACORN, the now defunct agency to register voters, with atheist groups. The ACLU’s mission is to protect civil liberties. This could include your freedom to worship as you please as well as your freedom to not have other impose their religious beliefs on you.
As to ACORN, its biggest “sin” was registering voters who were not necessarily inclined to vote for Republicans. When you look through all the propaganda and bogus charges, there was no voter ...
