Shear Glory has 'shear' talent
Shear Glory, located at 88 Frazier St., Suite 4, Waynesville, has a brigade of talented stylists capable of meeting a variety of needs.
Katrinka Webb, own, has worked in the beauty industry for 30 years. She is a graduate of Southwestern Community College and has taken many certification classes for cosmetic arts.
Webb opened Shear Glory 10 years ago to assist new stylists who were just coming out of school. Her mission is to help them fine-tune their skills, build their clientele and become polished professionals. Webb views Shear Glory as her ministry to the residents of Haywood County and new cosmetologists while providing a full service salon.
“We welcome everyone with open arms and open hearts,” she said.
Autumn Jones has been a cosmetologist for three years. She graduated from Haywood Community College and began her career at Shear Glory.
Jones specializes in long hair design and pedicures. She also specializes in both acrylic and gel nails, with a flair for nail art. Jones has judged several competitions for the students at Haywood Community College and enjoys furthering her education.
Tera Presnell has been a licensed cosmetologist for 10 years and began her career at Shear Glory Hair Design, and celebrated her homecoming when she recently returned. For the past three years, she has enjoyed working as a cosmetology instructor at HCC and AB Tech.
Presnell’s specialty and passion is color. She stays on the forefront of knowledge about new products, services and the latest trends in order to provide excellent service to her clientele. Presnell also enjoys mentoring new cosmetologists as they enter the hair industry.
Sandra Justus began her career as a licensed barber and later became a licensed cosmetologist. She has a combined career of over 30 years in the hair industry.
Justus is versatile in her craft, and has trained with Vidal Sassoon and Farouk Systems focusing on the Biosilk and Sun Glitz lines. Justus has a keen eye for detail and specializes in men’s haircuts. She enjoys learning new things and continuing to practice the art of hair design.
Rayna Scott Conard graduated from Haywood Community College in December 2013 Conard enjoys doing acrylic nails with hand-painted design. She specializes in edgy haircuts and fantasy hair color.
Conard’s artistic abilities allow her to customize her clients wants and give them a one-of-a-kind look.
Lidia Gelis graduated 16 years ago from Cayce Reilly in Virginia Beach. She is both licensed and insured. She joined the staff at Shear Glory five months ago and serves as the massage therapist.
Gelis specializes in cranial sacral, manual lymphatic drainage and deep tissue massage techniques.
“I believe massage therapy can facilitate healing of the mind, body, and soul,” said Gelis.
