CANTON — Sheila Whitaker Roberson, 54, of Sharptown Road, passed away on Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at Silver Bluff Nursing Home.

A native of Bossier City, Louisiana, she was a daughter of Kenneth C. and Katherine Thomason Whitaker.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Roberson, who died in 2008, and also by her maternal and paternal grandparents.  She was employed with Canton Health Care, and No Boundaries.  Sheila enjoyed volunteering with her husband, Michael, before his death for the Center Pigeon Fire Department.  She was a member of West Canton Baptist Church where she sang in the choir.
