The Museum of North Carolina Handicrafts in historic Shelton House will host the third Appalachian Christmas at HART Main Theater, 250 Pigeon Street, Waynesville, on Saturday, December 1, 7 – 8:30 p.m.  This year’s presentation, a Season of Harmony, will feature the regional Land of the Sky vocalists who specialize in traditional Barbershop-style solos, quartets, and group medleys.  The Land of the Sky Chorus is the performing portion of the seventy-five member Asheville Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society.  The chorus, and its quartets, has been bringing harmony and hilarity to audiences in western North Carolina for over sixty years.  The holiday season in this country is always a time for faith, family, food, and fun.  For a musical group like Land of the Sky Chorus, it is a Season for Harmony full of songs and scenes from all of the holidays we celebrate.  Let the forty-five man Land of the Sky Chorus and Quartets take you to the top of the world to celebrate.

Not only will Appalachian Christmas feature outstanding musical numbers appropriate for the season, but a bountiful table of hors d’oeuvres, desserts, wine, and hot cider will conclude a perfect evening that serves to usher in the holidays.   Tickets are available at Blue Ridge Books, Christmas is Everyday, and Olde Brick House in Waynesville.  Tickets may also be purchased at HART ticket office the evening of the program.  Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12.
