Loving Wife and Mother

CLYDE — Shirley Elizabeth Green Ledford, 65, of Messer Road, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at her residence.

A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Rachel James Green, and was also preceded in death by her son, Wayne Ledford.  Shirley was a loving wife and mother and was known for being an amazing cook.  She also enjoyed crocheting and painting and was a member of Lower Fines Creek Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Johnny O. Ledford; one daughter, Crystal Ledford; two sisters, Neta Mae Rabb, and her husband, Doc, of the Fines Creek community, and Mary Jane Everhart, of Cherokee; and two brothers, L. J.
