Silver Bluff Village honors mothers
Silver Bluff Village honored the oldest and youngest mothers during a Mother’s Day Tea on Friday, May 9, at Arrowhead Cove Assisted Living. Alice Sexton, 98, was recognized as the oldest mother, and Beverly Vagnochi, 81, was recognized as the youngest mother.
At Pigeon Valley Rest Home, Gertrude Pressley and Mary Ann Angel were recognized for being the oldest mothers. Both women are 100 years old.
Pressley had one daughter, Frieda Rhinehart of Canton, and Angel has one daughter, Judith, of New York City, New York. Both ladies were given a certificate, flowers and were treated to a Mother's Day luncheon.
