Single mom and extended Habitat family dedicate future home

Habitat house dedications are occasions to celebrate and give thanks. A recent gathering at the future home of Suzanne Cianciulli in the Barefoot Ridge Development in Clyde was no exception.

Nearly 40 family members, friends and Habitat volunteers who worked on the Cianciulli house were on hand to celebrate a symbolic transfer of ownership. “In a few weeks the key will be in your hands,” said Haywood Habitat Board President Kent Stewart, “and you will turn this shell of a house into your home.” Stewart also introduced Jay Somers, who with his wife, Buckie, sponsored the Cianciulli house, their fourth Habitat house sponsorship in Haywood County.
