Small Business Center's “How to Write a Business Plan” is Feb. 21

The Small Business Center at Haywood Community College will offer a free seminar entitled, “How to Write a Business Plan,” from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, in room 3021 at the HCC Regional High Technology Center, 112 Industrial Park Drive, Waynesville.


A business plan can be the most important tool a small business owner has. Learn how to turn your ideas into a solid plan for financing and long-term success. This seminar teaches the important components of a business plan and helps lay the foundation for a winning plan. Find out how marketing, operations, and finance are interrelated. Discover how a business plan is used by potential lenders, the do’s and don’ts of writing a plan, and steps for making the process easy. This seminar is designed for new and established business owners.

Russ Seagle of Seagle Management Consulting is the presenter.

“How to Write a Business Plan” is part of the Business Startup Series. Geared toward early stage entrepreneurs and those looking to start a business, the free series is comprised of the top eight pillars critical to the successful foundation of a business. The sessions will feature industry experts to walk you through each topic in detail. Attendees are welcome to attend a single session of interest or the entire series.

“Choosing Your Legal Structure” will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.

“Your Small Business Taxes” will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

“Marketing Your Business” will be held on Thursday, March 16, 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.
