Event Profile: Smoky Mountain Oyster & Seafood Festival 2013 is a one-day festival, Saturday, April 20, 2013 from 1:00pm to 7:00pm.  General admission is $5 (plus fees) if purchased in advance and $8 (plus fees) if purchased at the gate day of event.   Kids 12 & under are FREE!  General admission includes live music & entertainment, games, kid’s zone and more…! Visit the silent auction to benefit Haywood Waterways.  Oyster Shucking Contest…Oh Boy!

**Fresh Oysters provided by Mobjack Bay Seafood Co. distributors for Ward Oyster Co., which grows aquaculture clams and oysters in the pristine waters of the Mobjack Bay.   Ward Oyster Co. is one of the largest cage oyster farms in the Commonwealth of Virginia, distributing its oysters all over the United States. Ward Oyster Co. has about 10 to 12 million oysters placed in cages near the mouth of the Ware River, located in the town of Ware Neck in Gloucester County, Virginia. The Ware River is one of four rivers that feed the Mobjack Bay and then the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia. Oysters & Seafood Prepared by J Arthur’s Restaurant!

CHARITY: Silent Auction & a portion of Event Proceeds to benefit Haywood Waterways! http://www.haywoodwaterways.org.  Many creeks (including Jonathon Creek) ultimately feed into the Mississippi River and then to the Ocean.  Promote Clean Water…Eat an Oyster!

FREE, INTERACTIVE, KIDS ZONE:  Petting Zoo; Face Painting; Hay Toss; Hula Hoops; Corn Hole; Frisbees; No charge for interactive kids zone!  The promoter is picking up the cost for the entire kids zone!
