Special Olympics coaches wanted

If you've ever dreamed of coaching for the Special Olympics, this is your chance. The first meeting for those interested is taking place Monday.

Attention: Special Olympics Coaches Needed!

An informational meeting will be held Monday Feb. 13 at 5:30 p.m. at the Waynesville Recreation Center.

This will be a mandatory meeting for all coaches who are planning to coach for the Spring/Summer 2017 season. This includes interested coaches for any of the sports listed below.

The following are the coaching opportunities for the Spring/Summer Sports: Aquatics, Athletics (Track & Field), Bowling, Cycling, Gymnastics, Power Lifting, Softball Skills/Team and Volleyball.

 

Coach’s Oath

“In the name of all coaches and in the spirit of sportsmanship,

I promise that we will act professionally, respect others, and

ensure a positive experience for all. I promise to provide quality

sports and training opportunities in a safe environment for all athletes.”

 

Please note, one of classes does have a $16.95 charge for a coaches certification.
