St. John's 'Living Passion' is Friday

At 5 p.m. on Good Friday, April 14, the annual re-enactment of the Passion of Jesus Christ will take place at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 234 Church St., Waynesville.

The events from the Last Supper through the Crucifixion will be portrayed by members of the parish’s Hispanic community. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to be present for this powerful tribute to the central event of human history.

Prior to the Living Passion, the Liturgy of Good Friday will be celebrated at 3 p.m. On Saturday, the celebration of the Lord’s Resurrection will begin at 8:30 p.m. with the Lighting of the New Fire and the Great Vigil of Easter.
