STAR Ranch's 2nd annual Poker Run is Sept. 13

STAR Ranch’s second annual Poker Run to benefit abused and neglected horses will be held Saturday, Sept. 13.  Registration will begin at 10:30 a.m. at Salty Dog’s Seafood and Grill, located at 3567 Soco Road, Maggie Valley. The last bike out will be at noon.

Admission is $20 per bike and $10 per passenger and includes a pizza buffet with a beverage at the final stop.  There will be music by DJ Brian Keith, door prizes, a silent auction and a 50/50 split-the-pot and the best poker hand will be awarded a $100 cash prize.

The route will begin at Salty Dog’s and will follow Highway 19 to Jonathon Creek Road, then to Rabbit Skin Road, over to 209 to North Main Street to the second stop, The Watering Hole in Waynesville.  The route will continue down Main Street to a left on RT276 to Jukebox Junction where the third stop will take place.  A quick right onto 215 will take riders to the Blue Ridge Parkway where everyone will enjoy the beautiful scenery and mountains of North Carolina.  The first exit off the Parkway will take riders back towards Waynesville on RT 23/74 to Exit 103A to BearWaters Brewery for the fourth stop.   The final stop will take riders back onto 276 towards Highway 19 and Maggie Valley to the Rendezvous Restaurant for the final stop. Then the festivities will begin.
