Stringfield verbals to Florida State

Three-time state champion plans to swim for the Seminoles

Katy Stringfield is in position to leave a legacy as one of its greatest swimmers of all-time for Tuscola High School and the Smoky Mountain Aquatic Club.

Now, the senior and three-time state champion knows where she will take her swimming talents in the fall of 2013.

Stringfield decided this weekend to accept a scholarship offer from Florida State University.

She plans to make her verbal commitment official during the early signing period in late November.
