The Mountaineer was overwhelmed with submissions for the 2012 Summer Fun Photo Contest and would like to thank everyone who participated by submitting a photo or voting for their favorite picture on Facebook.

We got photos of everything from swimming, fishing and fun on a Slip-N-Slide to pictures of people eating their favorite summertime foods or just enjoying the sun and surf.

They were all great, but there can be only one winner.

The winner of the 2012 Summer Fun Photo Contest is this adorable photo of 2-month-old Hayden Bland enjoying the beach. The photo received 394 votes. Congratulations to her family.

Runner up was the picture of Jace Morgun Brown enjoying some summer-time fishing, and in third place is the photograph of brother and sister, Jackson and Josie Higgins, giving each other a kiss.
