'Summer Surrender' event is June 14

Cross the Wilderness ministry will host a “Summer Surrender” event Saturday, June 14, at Haywood Community College.

Bring the family and enjoy a full day of outdoor fun with free seminars. There will be vendors, food and a rock wall and bounce house for children. There will also be a cornhole tournement. Registration will be from 10 to 11 a.m. The entrance fee is $20 for a team; register online at www.crossthewilderness.org. The first place prize is $300; second place is $150; and third place is $50.

Live music will be provided by Sidewalk Prophets, Faith Under Fire and About A Mile. Joshua “Son of the South” Carney will be on hand to give his testimony; Carney is an avid outdoorsman who has been featured on The Outdoor Channel and other hunting shows.

Tickets are $15 until June 7, $18 June 7-13 and $20 at the door.

Vendor fees have been waived and vendors are asked to donate any amount to the ministry.
