Take an Easter train ride with GSMR

The Great Smoky Mountains Railroad (GSMR) is pleased to welcome the Peanuts Easter Beagle Express Friday, April 18, and Saturday, April 19. Trains will depart the historic Bryson City Depot at 11 a.m. The train will travel along the Tuckasegee River into the quaint town of Dillsbor for a 1 and 1/2 hour layover of activities.

Passengers will join Snoopy, Lucy, Charlie Brown, and the Easter Bunnies for old-fashioned Easter fun. Festivities during the layover include crafts, coloring sheets, face painting, and snacks with Snoopy and more. Go on an Easter egg hunt for special prizes and, of course, lots of candy. Bring a camera to capture all these memorable moments

Tickets start at $51 per adult, $29 per child age 2 to12, and infants 23 months and under ride free in a heated coach class car. Upgrade to crown class and enjoy large picture windows and a souvenir tumbler with free refills for $66 per adult, $38 per child age 2 to 12, and $10 per infant 23 months and under. First class includes assigned seating, a meal, a souvenir tumbler with free refills, and a special gift for $94 per adult, $54 per child age 2 to 12, and $20 per infant 23 months and under.

Also visit the Smoky Mountain Trains Museum, featuring one of the largest collections of Lionel Trains in the United States. Admission to the museum is included with ticket purchase. Without tickets, admission to the museum is $9 per adult and $5 per child.
