Teen Challenge welcomes new executive director
Teen Challenge of the Smokies welcomes the Rev. Jeremy C. Touchet as its new executive director.
Touchet is a Cajun from southwest Louisiana and is a former graduate of Teen Challenge. He overcame, through Jesus Christ, a 20-year drug addiction, and he has shared his powerful testimony around the country, telling his story to those who may have lost hope.
The Rev. Touchet has also served in the Teen Challenge ministry as an intern at Sandhills TC in North Carolina and was the administrative director and assistant director of Wabash Valley TC in Terre Haute, Indiana.
The Rev. Touchet is the former associate pastor and youth pastor of Duson Baptist Church in Duson, Louisiana, during which time he earned a diploma in biblical ministry from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. On June 23, 2013, he became an ordained minister at Seymour Christian Church in Seymour, Indiana.
The Rev. Touchet’s desire is to help those struggling with addiction find freedom. He also wants the community to understand that he is a missionary to the drug addict and alcoholic. The Rev. Touchet can be reached at 631-2336 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
