Waynesville has a new teen hangout with the opening of Footloose, a family oriented dance club at 1374 Sulpher Springs Road.
“We provide a safe alcohol- and tobacco-free environment for teens and pre-teens with adult supervision,” said owner Mike Nightingale. “Our goal is to provide a fun, safe place for our teens to go hang out with friends and have a good time.”
Nightingale and his wife, Elena, are the parents of three teenagers, which has helped them understand the importance of having a safe, fun place to go in the evenings.
Teen night will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday, June 29, at Footloose. Admission is $6 and includes a balloon drop where door prizes will be given away each hour starting at 9 p.m. night.
