Teens: Have your voices heard through advisory group for library users

By Haywood County Library | Sep 23, 2013

Haywood County Public Library will begin a Teen Advisory Group (TAG) for library users ages 12 to 18 at both the Canton Branch Library and at the Waynesville Library. At Canton, this group will meet once a month and will help plan library events for teens and children, discuss the latest young adult novels, create library displays, give back to the community and much more.

Members of TAG will be able to have their voices heard in their community, as well as earn community service hours (which look great on job and college applications). Plus, teens will enjoy free snacks at meetings. The first TAG meeting at the Canton Branch Library will take place at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3.
