Temprell J. Cannon
Waynesville — Temprell Jerlene Wheeler Cannon, 55, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013 at the Brian Center.
A native of Haywood County, she is the daughter of Nancy Wheeler of Waynesville and the late William Albert Wheeler, Sr. She was also preceded in death by two grandsons, Malakki Cannon and Qu ron Montez Davis. She was employed as a librarian at the Haywood County Library and was a member of Ninevah Baptist Church. Temprell was dearly loved by all her family and friends. She will be remembered for being a wonderful wife, mother and daughter and will be deeply missed by her family.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 30 years, Richard Cannon, Sr.; a daughter, Tiffany Ashlee Cannon of Raleigh; two sons, Richard “Fitz” Cannon, Jr., and his fiancée, Valerie, of Waynesville and Cameron Cannon of Waynesville; a sister, Kymbraly Cox and her husband, Michael, of Raleigh; two brothers, Bill Wheeler and his wife, A.B., of Boonville and Gregory Wheeler of Waynesville; and one grandchild, Dontrio Davis, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23 at Ninevah Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Leslie officiating. A private burial will be held. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. At other times, the family will be at the residence of Nancy Wheeler, 329 Belleview Road, Waynesville, NC 28786.
